Milk Glass 2 piece epergne set in the popular Paneled Grape pattern. Paneled Grape was made by the Westmoreland Glass Company from the 1950s to the 1970s. The lipped bowl measures approximatley 12" in diameter, the horn measures approximately 8 1/2" long and when assembled the set measures 9" tall. The bowl is marked with the Westmoreland logo on the bottom. It looks to be in perfect condition with no chips however it does have one flaw that I believe is in the manufacturing. There is what I believe a very faint stress line on the inside bottom of the bowl that runs from one edge of the center post (does not go into the center post) to just where the side wall meets the bottom of the bowl. It is a very fine line that is hard to see and I have to move it around until the light hits it just right to find it. It is just on the top side of the bowl and does not penetrate throught the glass to the bottom (cannot be seen on the underside of the bowl) and obviously doesn't leak water. I see no signs of of an impact in this area that would cause this ( I don't even see a scratch on the bowl) so I would say it is just a stress mark from when the glass dried. It is basically of no impact on this large piece of glass as you have to inspect it closely to even find it but I felt it needed to be mentioned for accuracy.
