Depression Era blue glass oval bowl in the Aunt Polly pattern. Aunt Polly was made by the U.S. Glass Company in the late 1920s. It measures approximately 8 3/8" long and 4 7/8" wide. The only flaws I can find other than a couple of minor straw marks that are typically found on this pattern is a minor molding flaw on the outside edge of the bottom foot (see pictures below). There is a paper thin sliver of glass missing here that in my opinion looks like it did not get filled with glass during the molding process or flaked off from the bowl when it was removed from the mold. It looks like it should be an easy touchup for a glass repair man but in reality it is of little significance especially where it is located to warrant correcting. Other than that I see no problems and I see no signs of usage marks. A hard to find bowl in very nice condition. This is original depression era glass and not a reproduction.
